WELCOME

Join us September 11th & 12th in the fun celebrating the Sunderland Agricultural Society's 161st annual fall fair. This year, our fair's theme is  "Through the Farm Gate".

There are plenty of country things being planned. Again this year, a giant pumpkin festival will be held on Tuesday evening. Enjoy our traditional events such as the parade, midway, 4-H competition, light & heavy horse show and demolition derby. Marvel at displays of vegetables, antiques, photography, field crops, crafts and culinary arts. Our children's school achievement is proudly displayed. Be sure to visit the booths of many local vendors and community service groups. A variety of musical entertainment is planned for the family.

Our Fair promises to be filled with endless thrills, great food and countless memories for all. Hope to see you there!

Award Winners

The Sunderland Agricultural Society values the contributions of its many volunteers. It is great to have our members recognized by others beyond our organization.

Congratulations to Chris Shier who was recently awarded the Ontario Agri-Food Education Award. This award recognizes Chris' efforts to promote an awareness among the community's young people regarding the importance of agriculture in our food system.

It is with pride that we recognize award recipients at the 2011 fair. The OAAS Service Diploma was presented to Norma Ferguson. OAAS Accomplishment Awards were presented to Betty Ann Harder and Cathy Allison.

Chuck Thompson was presented an Ontario Volunteer Service Award for nearly forty years of involvement with the Sunderland Agricultural Society.
