Our work continues in preparation for the Sunderland Fall Fair, a community tradition for what will be the 164th year. Whether an exhibitor or a visitor, the fair offers a day of fun, fellowship and learning.

This year, our fair will pay tribute to 100 years of 4-H in Ontario. There are plenty of country things being planned. Visit our new event, the Sheep Penning Demonstration (1:00 & 3:00 pm) or attend the Ag. Ed. program. Once again, the Legion's line dancers are planning a performance. Enjoy the parade, midway, 4-H competition, light & heavy horse show and demolition derby. Marvel at displays of vegetables, antiques, photography, field crops, crafts and culinary arts. Our children's school achievement will be proudly displayed. Be sure to visit the booths of many local vendors and community service groups. Musical entertainment will again be offered. The fair is open to visitors on the evening of Tuesday, September 15 and all day on Wednesday, September 16.

Special thanks is extended to both the organizers and participants in this year's Fair Ambassador Pageant held on May 28th. The evening was a great success and the Sunderland Fair will be well represented by our ambassadors in many future community events. Congratulations to Jr. Ambassador, Rebecca Smith and Sr, Ambassador, Myra Kiezebrink.

Please note recent changes to the 4H Dairy Calf Show. The event is now open to all interested. The event description posted in the Fair Book is replaced by a revised competition posted on this website (go to Dairy Calf Show listed under the Fair Book tab).

The Sunderland Agricultural Society thanks the community for its interest and ongoing support. We look forward to sharing and celebrating the best of our rich and lively agricultural community in 2015.
